Here we are somewhere in Grand Teton National Park. It's near Jenny Lake, but it's not actually Jenny Lake. That's the Grand Teton in the background.

We have had such an amazing adventure! We set out with our tent trailer on August 17. 100 miles into our trip we were temporarily sidelined by a faulty tire. We got going in earnest and reached Jackson Hole the next evening after a nice camp-out on the Oregon, Idaho boder.

This shot was taken a day or so after we arrived. All in all we've put about 1,500 miles on on our car. Zack is such a super traveler. More pictures and stories to come after I get home, and can download more photos.

Haircut... Portland Style!

Boy did Zack need a haircut! We take him to Bishop's, Portland's rock n' roll barber shop. It's a little wild in there, but you can always walk in and get a good haircut. Tattoos are optional. His stylist is obviously a member of the church of skin ink. He's probably sitting on a case of Pabst Blue Ribbon, which is thier version of a barber shop booster seat. I wish you could hear the music in this place. No, actually, I'm glad you can't. I'm getting too old for that stuff too.

Anyway, a few minutes after Zack donned the cape o' clips, he looked like this:





The mohawk is temporary, thank goodness!

Yep, that's our boy. Recovered from his rash and not a minute too soon. You can't keep him down for long. Here he is WAYYY up over the West side of Portland. His Dad took this picture. Not sure who was actually flying the plane at that point.

I have a feeling this could be a serious love triangle between father, son, and the wild blue yonder.
