Mom: Zack, where are you going to go with the Pink Bunnies* tonight?
Zack: I'm going to drive an airplaine!
Mom: Do you know what the driver of an airplane is called?
Zack: What?
Mom: A PILOT.
Zack: What are Palm Pilots then?
Mom: Uhhhh...
Zack: We'll take our Palm Pilots on the plant to make it drive better!
Mom: That sounds like a great idea.

*The Pink Bunnies live in Dreamyland, and can only see you when you're sleeping. When you go to sleep they take you on all sorts of wonderful adventures. Planning for pink bunny adventures helps us go to sleep every night.

Zack has a backpack in which he carries real tools. He likes to play with real screwdrivers, wrenches, hammers, etc. but I'll only let him use them when he's sitting on the floor. If he wants to move them he needs to put them all in the backpack and zip it up, to be safe. Last night I caught him wandering around with a screwdriver in each hand looking for something to dismantle.

Mom: Zack! Where is your backpack?
Zack: Um... Actually I had it a little earlier, but some snakes took it.

We're working on potty training. Yesterday Zack said to me:

"Mom, you let me know if you need to use the potty and I'll come in and change your diaper."
