Zack's gardening skills have expanded to "weed whackering." He loves to pick up sticks or whatever long, thin object he can find and "weed wacker" the edges of the lawn. He is also starting to invent words for certain objects. If you have any ideas on the derivation of the following, please let me know.

1. Zack has an old black Kryptonite U-lock for a bike that he keeps with his tools. He calls it a "chooperstuffer"

2. He has a brightly-colored portable kid's CD player which he calls a "polkadasher."

Yesterday I gave him some kid-friendly scissors and construction paper. He knows to be wary of sharp things, so when I told him these scissors were OK he said. "Yes, Mommy, these scissors are too sharp for you. They're for me to use."

Today''s exchange:
Zack: I don't feel well. I need some medicine.
Me: (after confirming he had no fever) You're fine, Zack. You're fit as a fiddle.
Zack: Mommy, I don't have a fiddle.

He proceeded to remind me throughout breakfast that he didn't have a fiddle.
