Here's a shot of Ian with Zack, doing a little workup on a Bernese Mtn. dog at the Bend Children's Museum. As sons of doctors, the boys take this work very seriously. An exit survey indicated the dog had a good experience with his care, though he's frustrated by the clinic's billing system.

Other Sunriver highlights included a trip to the High Desert Museum, a canoe trip, and many short bike rides to climb on playground equipment or throw rocks in the river. We all gave this vacation an A-plus!

You might be amazed to learn that it can be very relaxing to spend a week on vacation with four three-year-olds.

You might be further astonished to learn that, even though it rained six of the seven days we spent in Sunriver, we STILL had tons of fun.

We had playgrounds and bike trails to ourselves, which was great for our kids who are not quite up to Tour de France form yet. (Training wheel class, maybe.)

Here's a shot of Zack, Kamlyn and Hugh at Fort Rock Park, after watching dads Jim and George in a ferocious Iron Cage match of tetherball.

Zack's tour de force of the trip came when he needed to find a tree for an emergency bathroom break. Normally a "sitter," he's still learning the fine art of taking a vertical leak in the woods. Rule number 1: Don't lean your head against the tree trunk. He STILL has sap in his hair.
