Happy New Year!
Christmas photos are still in the Camrea. So, here's another one of Zack in Montana, channeling the cowboy mystique.
We had a great Christmas. Santa's booty left Zack in awe, and presents for him are all right on the money. He's enjoying playing with everything he found under the tree. (Except the suction cup bow and arrow set. Definitely an outside toy! We'll be saving that till the sun shines again.)
Grandma Jean and Pop Pop came from New Jersey and were immediately swept up in the flow of our lives. It's so nice that all of Zack's grandparents are willing to do that! We loved having them, as always.
Here's a glimpse of the four-year-old mind at work:
At school recently, Zack said to a classmate: "I wish I had a zipper that went all the way around my body. Then I could unzip it and look inside myself and it would be kind of icky but it would be AWESOME!"
The teachers actually posted that one on the wall -- sort of a PreK pullquote.
This morning at breakfast, Zack informed me that, "If a strawberry and a submarine collided, the strawberry would EXPLODE! because submarines are very hard and strawberries are very soft."
The other day in the car Zack was pontificating in similar fashion when his friend Henry interrupted, saying "Zack! How come you just KNOW everything?"
Zack, matter-of-factly and without the slightest hesitation, said: "Because I'm a scientist."
